Lighting comfort above all

Pipistrel, production hall in Gorizia, Italy

Pipistrel is an internationally renowned aircraft producer, whose products set new aviation standards on a world scale. For the production of their famous Panthera and innovative electric aircrafts, this propelling Slovenian company built a new production unit in Italy.

For their new building, they wanted a top-level design combined with technological perfection so as to provide an excellent working environment.
Architects created a large open space where the combination of natural and artificial light guarantee the desired quantity and quality of light. The Sequal luminaire with its functionality and extreme efficiency was not only the perfect choice in the sense of uniformity of lighting but met the desired low energy consumption as well. In addition, daylight sensors were installed to adapt the light to the daylight levels.

How did Hunter get under the spotlight?

Vienna Design Week 2017

Hunter spot was designed to make the products stand out, but this time it was Hunter that got under the spotlight. During Vienna Design Week, Slovenian leading design agency Gigodesign presented it as a product that is not only every designer's dream, but also a light, that truly makes a difference.

We don’t do pretty - we do right, was a theme of Gigodesign's exhibition held by Slovenian embassy in Vienna, which suggest that design is not just a thing of a visual enjoyment, but mainly a functional characteristic, that brings new solutions.Between September 29th and October 10th, the development process behind Hunter was presented among four other products Gigodesing designed in last couple of years, and we are more than happy to be a part of this amazing story.

Rebuilding the concept of hair salons

Texhair, hairdresser chain in North Italy

Designed as a place where customers forget the outside world and experience the beauty through the colours, architectural space and lighting. Texhair, a leading salon chain in hair care and hairstyling in North Italy, is definitely not an ordinary operational space.

The aim of the project was to totally redesign the interior at the hairdresser, to create an elegant and modern atmosphere, that resembles a luxury hotel with the latest trends in interior design, where customers would feel special and unique.

Lighting in a hair salon, plays a significant functional and aesthetic role, it allows operators to stay focused at work, it creates a relaxing atmosphere for customers and on the functional side it reveals the right colour shades when dying hair. Kalis luminaire with it`sapplication flexibility and simple ceiling installation was the perfect choice to fulfill designer`s and investor`s needs.

Hunter

Light that activates sales

Modern retail shops cannot afford to be uniform. To provoke the desired response of buyers, sections with high sales potential have to be enhanced in the right way.

With its minimal shape it responds to all needs for great illumination. The soft edge design allows to reach a high visual comfort and low glare by making a soft transition of light on the frame. It is an extremely functional luminaire, more than perfect for those who want something simple and smart. Its design has nothing more to add and nothing left to take away.

Pipes R

Totally responsive

A range of recessed LED spots brings efficiency and customization together.

With a wide choice of colour combinations, power options and sizes, Pipes R is a spot that can blend in discretely or become an eye catching element in the space. 3D BIM objects

Place the luminaires in your visualization

3d BIM objects are a game changer in the construction industry. Intra lighting is one of first brands in the lighting industry who understood the extraordinary potential of this brand-new tool. Always focused on technological development, Intra lighting has already started to implement BIM, the leading-edge technology that opens new horizons in the lighting design.

Experience the lighting before it happens

An amazing tool has arrived that will change the way you work

Say hello to the new era in projecting. The architectural visualization development has enabled us to create photo-realistic images of buildings already in the design stage. Today, everyone involved in the process can understand the architectural concept, see images of the final solution and experience the result of every change before it actually happens. It allows us to make smart decisions on computer, not on site. Controll project costs and time. Avoid problems.

The advantage of seeing and comparing different solutions changes everything. It’s the first time that we can understand not only how a different luminaire will look like in the space, but also how the illumination changes and therefore how it will affect the space perception.

Symbolic ties

Slovenian Book Centre in Trieste, Italy

In Trieste, Italy, just one step to the west from the Intra lighting's home town, the Slovenian Book Center has crossed the borders of a typical bookshop, becoming a lively part of the city, hosting different social and cultural events.

Symbolic ties which are important to the Slovenian minority living in Trieste inspired the design of the bookshelves and the remarkable composition in the space. The pattern of the bookshelves derives from the facade decoration of the National Hall, designed by the famous Slovenian architect Max Fabiani in 1904. Redesigned in a modern structure, the famous pattern helps to create an inviting and fresh look.

Lighting succeed in assisting the design. Pipes R gave the right visibility of the shelves and helped to create a warm atmosphere. To support different functionalities of the space, differentlighting scenarios were created for day, evening and night illumination (the bookstore interacts with the outside), allowing it to be efficient and yet attractive anytime

Harmonious diversity

In terms of scale, one of the largest participating countries is Japan. The most recognizable part of the Pavilion is the three-dimensional wooden grid that embodies sustainability and fuses Japan’s traditional culture with advanced technology. The exhibition is energized with stunning designs by high profile Japanese creatives Nendo and TeamLab..

The illumination supports the story behind the concept of harmonious diversity. It allows a dynamic journey and special experience by interweaving scene and functional illumination. Pipes, which was also awarded the Good Design Award in Japan, proved once again to be one of the most advanced luminaires on the globe, which makes us enormously proud.

Space transformation challenges

Future illumination answering to the changes in human needs

Spaces are changing. We are using the same space for different activities; where the focus changes depending on the time of day, people and tasks. Spaces have to become modular, flexible and convertible, based on unique requirements. We use offices for focused work, collaboration, learning and socializing. We use cinemas as a meeting space, watching new movies and spending free time. We use restaurants for breakfasts and later for romantic dinners. The experience changes, but the space stays the same.

The luminaire Ergetic was designed to answer the new needs of this transformation. With Ergetic the atmosphere can be changed in the fastest, easiest and most efficient way. Making the same space suitable for all the different activities that are taking place.

More for less

Gorenje production plant in Slovenia

Gorenje is one of the eighth largest home appliance(s) manufacturers in Europe, known for its collaboration with famous designers, such as Ora-Ïto, Karim Rashid, Pininfarina and Swarowski. Their modern manufacturing facility in Velenje undertook a lighting refurbishment in order to decrease energy consumption and reach modern standards.

The solution was made in collaboration with the energy contracting company GGE. By using the energy efficient luminaire Arago and the introduction of lighting control, we managed to achieve impressive savings and a swift return on investment. Moreover, fewer luminaires were used and the installation was fast and smooth. The right quantity and quality of light improved working conditions which in turn positively impacted (the) productivity and safety at work.

Arago LED

Born to be efficient

Industries are one of the biggest consumers of energy, with lighting representing a high percentage of this consumption. Intra lighting has understood the market need for a solution that could bring this cost down to a very minimum and at the same time to offer a high quality of light, reliability, fast return of investment, quick installation, easy maintenance and a solution for different application needs within one single family range.

With the Arago LED, we upgraded all the benefits and advantages of the existing fluorescent version and reached an efficiency level of 113 lm/W together with an outstanding reliability and a permanent lighting quality throughout all of its service life. With the elimination of strobing and an excellent lateral glare control UGR < 19.3, even with the wider optics, the all new Arago LED sets a totally new standard in safety in production areas. Perfect thermal product management guarantees an efficient operation in ambient temperatures up to 45 °C, which nowadays is frequently demanded for the high bays.
